As the parents, when we want to adopt a pet and introduce it for our children, that is surely a difficult work. It can be successful if we can maintain it as well as possible. Actually, introducing pets to our children has to be done to help them getting known about the pets. It will help also the development of their mind. Besides that, our children can also learn about other creatures besides the human. That is actually important. As we know, children in particular ages have an ability to develop their brain for recognizing everything around them, include pets. When they can recognize animals as pets, they may be able to not be afraid to those animals or we can say it is “building the brave of our children.”

First thing we have to do when we want to adopt a pet for our children is, we have to know well about our children. It is about their habit and their ages. When the children are too young, it will be so risky to introduce a pet to them or introduce them the pets whatever the pets are. The best age for the children in this phase is above four years. Below that, we can choose to bring them to the zoo and let them to see the animals there (without touching and physically interacting with those animals.) there are some pets like dogs or cats which can be introduced to the children closely. Cats and dogs sometimes can keep silent and they can be very tame even there are children near them.

Second thing, we surely have to keep our eyes to our children. We have to remember that pets can go wild even they are tame. It is better to keep our children close to our reach. So, when there is something done to our children, we can do the action faster. Safety is very important here. One more thing which have to be done for the parents who want to introduce a pet for their children is, sometimes some pets can bring illness to the human. Because of that, it is better to do the selection of the pets who will be introduced to our children. They have to be healthy so our children can be safe to play with them. Actually as parents, be brave to do those things when we want to adopt a pet for our children because pets may be able to be a friend for our children.
